I hired James to remove a very large walnut tree from our property. He and his crew did a very nice job. Then I mentioned that we wanted several evergreens planted (28 in total). He quoted me a price of $6500 saying that he would provide the same services as Augustine's. Three weeks after the trees were planted, I complained that several seemed to be sitting in standing water (lots of clay). He built a small trench but it was still an issue. After 2 months, 2 of those trees died. James said it's because of the drought; even though they were still in standing water. Eventually, a 3rd tree died. I asked James to replace the trees as he said he would offer the same service as Augustine's (which guarantees their trees for 1 year). James would not replace the trees without me paying full price. Now I have 3 trees that are completely dead, and a 4th and 5th that are on their way.
His removal services were great. His tree planting and standing behind his work and products is less than stellar. Now, $6500 later, I have 5 dead trees in my yard. Save your money and go to a reputable nursery. I have tried several times to resolve the issues directly with James but the results were unsuccessful. He would only respond via text and would not return my calls; now he has completely stop responding altogether.
