We purchased a home in Prescott (Timber Ridge area) and the inspections noted a surface grading issue that directs water next to the foundation along one side. The inspector recommended a 6-ft concrete swell along the entire side, exiting to the natural drainage of the property. My RE agent suggested I get bids on that as well as alternative solutions (i.e. - using more natural rock) that you would propose that may be either more cost-effective, better, or both. I've attached photos -- one from the top of the hill, the other from the bottom. I'd estimate the run is about 75 ft and the slope is around 10 degrees. The property is 1101 Pine Country Court if you'd like to inspect it in person. It is the south (right) side.
